I’ve had a lot of questions lately about where to shop for plus size clothes in Chicago. Usually my first recommendation for new clothes (not vintage/thrift - i’ll get to that in another post) is Vive La Femme, the fantastic plus size boutique in the Bucktown neighborhood.
They carry a variety of well-known designer plus size lines, but also carry a lot of independent labels and local designers! There’s really something for everyone. Additionally, their sister store Violette carries shoes up to size 11 in wide widths and wide calf boots - how great is that?

Today myshape.com is having a really big sale ($19.99/$29.99) on tons of items. Since I’ve had some comments about there not being cute stuff on myshape, I decided to pull a few items.
You need to be a member of myshape to buy anything (let me know if you want an invite) - you enter all your measurements and they find stuff for you. However, you can also shop the items not in your “personal shop” if you like too. I have found that some of the items fit me anyway (I know to stay away from non-stretch items in that case, especially when it comes to my hips which are my biggest measurement - your mileage may vary).
