Queer fat femme. Fat fashion bargain hunting. Living in Chicago.
In The Thick of It 2011 - end of year favorites.
It’s been a great year, y’all. Here’s a collage of some of my favorite outfits from 2011. Thank you for all your support - there are some really great things on the horizon for me and In The Thick of It. I’ve got some great news that I’ll be posting about in January.
Thank you from the bottom of my queer femme fat heart. Happy new year!!! xoxo
Gothy Pride Outfit
(click on image for much larger/detail)
While I’m not a huge fan of pride parades*, my girlfriend and I did go out into the streets of Chicago on Sunday during Pride so we could see my friend’s performance art piece.
It’s a fun little outfit, not my usual style (for one I had to wear flats to navigate the streets covered in garbage)
Dress - Macys (1X) (I call this my “hipster army dress” as it has little epaulets of chain and pyramid studs)
Belt - 9West (XL)
Leggings - Target (M/L) (I seriously stretched the heck outta them!)
Shoes - Me too (sz 10.5)
Glasses - SEE
I’m a 5’9” queer fat femme and approx size 18
*pride parade these days is a corporate nightmare that really frustrates me. I also generally dislike massive drunken crowds. The energy yesterday on the streets of chicago was just awful. I’ve talked about this more at length on my personal blog.
